Procedure
• We have an initial meeting which usually takes about one to one & half hours during which time we discuss your ideas, what you want for your ceremony, and what you don’t want.
• At this meeting I give you a resource pack which contains:
Application for Notice of Intended Marriage. I explain how and where to apply for this document.
Plus resources with helpful ideas for the possible format and content of the service. These resources make the process simple allowing the Bride and Groom to have maximum input into the service.
As a Member of the Celebrants Association of NZ I will give you a copy of the Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct and Complaints Procedure for your information.
• I give you guidance and once you have made a decision on what you want in your ceremony, I write a draft for your consideration. From the information you have supplied to me, I will weave your own story and words into the ceremony, if you choose to do this. You have total control over the content and can make any amendments necessary to achieve the perfect ceremony for you.
• I am available to you at any time for guidance and discussion on your ceremony.
• We have a half hour rehearsal at the wedding venue during the week before the wedding.
• On the day of the wedding I will arrive at the venue a half hour before the ceremony to ensure that everything is in order and arranged as we discussed at the rehearsal. At this time I will also liaise with other parties involved in your ceremony, e.g. sound operators, music person/musicians, readers and photographer to ensure that your ceremony will run smoothly.
• After the ceremony, I will send you a copy of the ceremony together with the vow cards and any personal notes you may have supplied to me as a keepsake.
Feel confident that with my professional assistance, you will experience a relaxed, magical, stress free and memorable day.
